Joy

Hi everyone! I'm excited to hear about what everyone is up to these days. I graduated from the University of Gerogia last August with my masters degree in nutrition, and am finishing up an internship for dietetics right now. The plan is to take my boards this summer and become a registered dietitian. Maybe I will finally be done with school! While I was at UGA, I got bit by the dancing bug...any opportunity for swing dancing, salsa dancing, or ballroom in general, and I'm there. (No belly dancing though...we'll leave that to Bri!) This weekend, I am hosting my first swing dance in Gainesville. It's going to benefit a local pregnancy center. Wish me luck! Here's a picture of me dancing.

Amy and Scott on Valentine's day

Scott and I are loving living in Georgia...and one of the things we enjoy is fishing in the blue-ribbon trout streams in the North Georgia mountains. We've always enjoyed fishing in the Florida Keys or Alaska, but it's fun to have found a great spot close to home too. For Valentine's Day, Scott surprised me by taking me "away" to the mountains, hired a fly-fishing guide (I need alot of help) and we spent 8 hours on a private stream catching some of the biggest trout in Georgia. It's all catch and release, that way, there'll be plenty of fish left for you to catch when you some to visit. Nevertheless, it was a day filled with memories and alot of
"wow" as we brought "old grundy" to the net!! (Click on "Amy and Scott on Valentine's day" to see the picture!!)

Hi Everyone!!
I am so excited to catch up with you all on here! (Good job Abe!) I am living in Lynchburg, VA right now finishing up my last semester of school. I live in the coolest downtown loft with brick walls and beam ceiling. I love it! I am working at a little furniture and shoe boutique (right up my alley!) and at a nice restaurant. I am helping put on a fashion show (this weekend). I made the promotional video for it that is being shown around campus. I have also been trying to finish my thesis. I can't wait to be done! I would love to hear what all of you all are up to as well!!

home again

Hey all, we are home in Montana for awhile and catching up on our business here and getting ready for the Hospice Ball on February 29th. We invite you all to come stay with us and have a fun night out.

Yeah Horray

I, for one, am so so happy to have a blog to connect with the Goetz family on a more regular basis - GO ABE! So...updates from Portland: We are really busy with the spa and cafe - the spa is doing well, and the cafe is well....needing our attention. Sabina is growing everyday and is a really alert and connecting girl. I have a feeling that we have another deep thinker like Rileigh on our hands. Peter is busy with his course work for his doctoral program and his book that he is writing for his thesis. We can't wait until he is finished in August (his graduation is August 29th). Here are some of the latest pictures of Sabina. The top one I took as I was writing this. I look forward to hearing from everyone!

New Blog for the Goetzes

Hey everyone! Welcome to the new website for the Goetz family!

Putting notes and pictures and even video up on this website is easier than you might think. Once you get the email, it gives you a link to click on. Then you set up a quick account and you can just sign in and publish posts just like this one.
I really hope this catches on and that everyone drops a line here to update the family about how you're doing. If you're having any problems figuring it out, just give me a call and I'll walk you right through it.
Ok, me first. That's my girlfriend Desiree there in the picture with me, who some of you have met. She's an attorney too, and we just finished a big trial in Los Angeles (where that picture was taken). Now it's back to the freezing weather of Chicago. Here's a little video of us in the snow from around Christmas time:

The cold and snow haven't let up much since then.

Back in the fall we had a nice visit from Charity and one of her friends. Was fun to show them around the city a little bit and have some good Chicago pizza.

Hope to hear from you all soon...
