Kit's Birthday

Kit just helped us get to this point of being able to contribute. We have LOVED the Blog! It's such a wonderful way to stay closer to everyone. I'll post pictures soon (Kit will have to help). I'm sure you're all wanting to know the facts about the Captain of this boat. He has lymphocytic leukemia. He started chemotherapy this Monday - 3 consecutive days every four weeks for 4 months. Except for a ten minute episode Monday when he had a reaction to the meds, the treatment has been uneventful. There is 60% - 80% chance of remission. So the odds are great and so far the treatment is going well. He is planning to go fishing in Alaska this August and hunting next fall. We thank you for your prayers. Looking forward to visiting you - same time tomorow! What a wonderful family!!!!!!!

I'm going to chime in with two messages here:

(1) Best wishes, Orv, for a successful treatment and full recovery. I'm sorry to hear about the cancer, but I'm hopeful for remission.

(2) Happy birthday, Kit! It's 55 and still alive, right? I hope you're doing great!
